Punjab continues to see an increase in mosquito-borne sickness, with the province reporting 215 new dengue virus cases in the last 24 hours.
The secretary of health Punjab said in a statement that 105 instances of dengue virus were reported from Lahore and 47 cases of the mosquito-borne sickness were reported from Rawalpindi in the previous 24 hours.
Furthermore, 18 dengue virus infections were reported in Gujranwala, with three cases each in Kasur, Vehari, and Sheikupura.
According to the Punjab secretary of health, 3,645 dengue illnesses have been registered in the province so far this year, with 1,489 cases of the disease reported in Lahore alone.
