Govt increases petrol price by Re1.45 per litre

 

The government has left the price of high-speed diesel unchanged while lowering the price of light diesel.

In yet another blow to the inflation-stricken masses, the government has raised the price of petrol by Re 1.45 per litre while maintaining the price of High Speed Diesel unchanged.


Light diesel has been lowered by Rs4.26 per litre, while kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs8.30 per litre.
The revised prices went into effect at 12:00 a.m. (night between Sept 20 and Sept 21). 

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance, the new petrol price will be Rs237.43 per litre, while the price of High Speed Diesel would remain unchanged at Rs247.43 per litre.


The price of light diesel has been decreased by Rs4.26 per litre, and the new price is Rs197.28 per litre.
Kerosene prices have been dropped by Rs8.30 per litre, with the new price being Rs202.02 per litre.
